Kelly identifies as an Indigenous person and has spent many years working in First Nations communities. She acknowledges both Western and Indigenous approaches to healing.

Kelly has called Lloydminster home for over 20 years. She is passionate about supporting people on their healing journeys and is involved in various community volunteer endeavors which includes holding a board seat for Residents in Recovery. Supporting others has been a crucial component in her own healing journey.

Kelly has completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) program through the University of Calgary with a Clinical Specialization working with Individuals, Families & Groups. She is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) holding licenses in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. She completed her BSW through U of C and has completed additional educational training through Athabasca University, Red Deer Polytechnic University, University of Alberta and Lakeland College in Lloydminster, AB. She is a certified Gladue Report Writer receiving training through Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS) in Victoria, BC under Dr. Jane Dickson (PhD), and is available to provide Gladue Reports for Saskatchewan. In 2022 she obtained her EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Certification in Halifax, NS, through Leading Edge Seminars under Roy Keissling (LCSW).

Professional experience includes supportive counselling, general counselling, trauma therapy, extensive case management, assessments, progress evaluation, interviewing, crisis intervention, treatment planning, group facilitation, harm reduction (mobile outreach), program and organizational development, as well as advocacy work.

Caroline Feser

Caroline identifies as an Indigenous woman from traditional Treaty 8 territory, who has called the Lloydminster area home for the majority of her life.

Caroline holds a Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Calgary and is a registered Social Worker within the Province of Saskatchewan. She has worked in First Nations communities for over 4 years and utilizes both traditional and Western approaches to helping and healing. Currently, Caroline is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work.

Caroline works from a trauma informed lens, and utilizes various modalities such as cognitive behavioral, narrative, and solution focused therapy. Caroline is passionate about helping and feels honored to walk alongside others who are embarking on their healing journeys.

Caroline specializes in addiction and assessment as well as child and youth services. She is a certified group and family conference facilitator with experience in mediation.

Dakota Sexsmith

Dakota is a Saulteaux man originally from Yellow Quill First Nation located in Treaty Four territory, who first moved to Lloydminster in 1997 and remained until 2011. For the past decade, Dakota has been living, working, and studying in Saskatoon, SK, graduating from the First Nations University of Canada in 2020 with a certificate and bachelor's degree of Indigenous Social Work. He is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work with clinical specialization through the University of Calgary.

Dakota is a trained grief & loss Edu-Specialist and has specialized training in mediation and de-escalation. He has worked in the human service field for many years and has been registered with the SASW (Saskatchewan College of Social Workers) for the past four years, all of which have been with Indigenous community-based programs throughout Saskatchewan.

Dakota specializes with the LGBTQ2+, youth and Elder demographic. He shares his expertise with grief & loss, anxiety, depression, addiction, and Indian Residential School (IRS) trauma by practicing narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy along with anti-oppressive, strength-based and traditional Indigenous healing modalities.

Patricia Pahtayken

Patricia is from Onion Lake Cree Nation located in Treaty 6 Territory. She grew up on reserve and moved to Lloydminster as a young adult. She then moved to Saskatoon to pursue her dream of becoming a Social Worker. She graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Indian Social Work from the First Nation's University of Canada in 2014.

Patricia is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work in the near future.

Patricia has close to 10 years experience and throughout that time, it has given her the knowledge and expertise to support a diverse range of clients in the areas of trauma, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression, self-worth, life transitions, stress, addictions, and grief.

She's a strong advocate for mental health and participates in local events to help raise awareness. She primarily utilizes a holistic approach as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help other's deal with their negative thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors.
